Life with IBS

The eureka moment came last year.  Having spent a lifetime at the mercy of IBS, it had  become apparent that in gaining control over IBS, I'd achieved something worth sharing.  It's such a personal issue, IBS is not:

  • Something to be proud of
  • Dinner table conversation
  • Easy for others to understand
  • Fun
  • Easy to cure

It started from the moment I was born, the doctors advised my parents to feed me 'stodgy' food.  From the earliest of ages it was clear I was going to have a problem. I'm not really aware of the very early years, however as I grew older my life with IBS become more problematic.......

In the coming blogs, I will be detailing the trials and tribulations which lead to the formation of IBS-Health.com.

My first time

Just a quick hello to start with.  Have created a new website for IBS sufferers www.IBS-Health.com and wished to introduce ourselves.  Having allowed IBS to rule my life for some 30 years, I regained control if my life a few years ago and felt that the website would be the best way for me to help others.

Its a private and embarrassing condition, very difficult to discuss with those who do not suffer. I hope that the website will allow sufferers the chance to discuss their problems and more importantly to overcome IBS.  IBS is not life threatening, it is not strictly speaking serious, however it can utterly dominate a sufferers life.

Every decision made can be based around a sufferers IBS.  So whilst IBS itself may not be serious it has massive implications on our lifestyle.  Given that life is not a rehearsal, allowing IBS to dominate our lives is a horrible waste.
